How to tie your own speargun bands:

What you need to begin:

16mm (5/8
19mm (3/4") Bulk Tubing - per ft

Step 1:

After cutting bulk band material to length.  Use wishbone tool to insert wishbone into one end of band.

*tip -use silicone spray on ball end of wishbone before inserting.

Step 2:

Tie band tying line around band material before the wishbone ball as shown.  Over, around,  then under the band material.

Step 3:

Tie line up and under the two initial legs created in your "X" as shown.

*tip -spray end of band where knot is to be tied with silicone spray to reduce friction when tightening the constrictor knot.

Step 4:

Using needle nose pliers tighten knot approximately 1/4" to the end of band material.  Pull very hard! This completes your constrictor knot.

Cut ends of tying line approximately 1/8" and melt line ends with lighter to finish.

Step 5:  Repeat steps 1-4 to other end of band material.

*NOTE:  some speargun muzzles will require that you place the tubing through the muzzle BEFORE tying the second end!
